Vision Statement was promotionally oriented:
'The Australian Alpine Valleys region will be recognised world wide for the quality and diversity of premium agricultural products and services'.
In practical terms,
AlpValleys' marketing activities have been directed to generating preference
for products from North East Victoria and achieving a premium for them.
The Forum is working with industry groups to ensure that their products meet a high quality standard, are graded, packaged, presented, delivered, and priced to meet market needs.
At the December
2001 General Meeting the members adopted a modified Vision Statement recognising
the need to be more pragmatic, more marketing oriented. By doing this, AlpValleys
is putting into practice the belief that to effectively market the region,
the region needs to market more effectively. |
