The Alpine Valleys Summer Fruit Growers Association was formed in 1999.

The group was initially formed to assist in marketing. The group does some marketing under the Alpine Valleys Agribusiness logo under strict guidelines of Quality Assurance.

Its membership consists of Cherry, Stone Fruit (mainly peach, nectarine and apricot) growers and also a citrus grower.

Having to conduct our businesses efficiently to survive we find a great deal of comfort in being able to meet and discuss problems that arise and sharing the solutions to those problems.

The logistics involved in getting fresh quality fruit to market is shared by all growers to the advantage of the end consumer, so that the quality standards are kept as high as possible

We conduct field trips and attend both state and national conferences. The information gained at such events is then shared with members through our newsletter “The Kernel”.

The membership consists of 23 growers from around the Warby Ranges. Membership is open to all interested persons at the cost of $50 per annum

Meetings are held bi-monthly on the 1st Monday of the month.

Fresh high quality fruit is available from November to April direct from the farm gate at very reasonable prices.
